Bobcat Machine IQ Wireless Communications Privacy Statement

Bobcat Company is providing you this statement because your Bobcat® machine is equipped with Machine IQ or you have received a Machine IQ system accessory.  The Machine IQ system transmits information about the equipment, including its condition and operational data to Bobcat Company.   

This information may include, but is not limited to:

  • Equipment model number
  • Equipment serial number
  • Equipment location
  • Engine hours
  • Engine performance data (e.g. engine speed, engine oil temperature and pressure, and fault codes)
  • Hydraulic performance data (pressure and temperature)
  • Fuel level and usage
  • DEF performance data (level, concentration, and temperature)
  • Other diagnostic or performance data

Bobcat Company can determine the identity of an owner or operator of a piece of equipment through Machine IQ information and other data.

What we do with information
Bobcat Company, its affiliates, and dealers use Machine IQ data to improve our products and services and to better serve you.  The data collected may be used in combination with such customer-identifying information to:

  • Fulfill customer support agreements, perform maintenance and repairs, and deliver rental equipment or parts (Machine IQ data may be required for these services)
  • Monitor and manage equipment health and efficiency
  • Improve the performance of Bobcat® Machine IQ services
  • Respond to inquiries, comments and suggestions you may have about your equipment
  • Market research
  • Notify you of promotions and special offers by Bobcat Company, its partners, affiliates, subsidiaries and dealers

In each case, such customer-identifying information shall only be used in accordance with applicable local laws and subject to any applicable privacy statements or agreements between you and Bobcat Company.

Collection method
The Machine IQ technology is designed to collect information. The information gathered may be transmitted to Bobcat Company or its dealers.  

Safeguards
We take appropriate and reasonable steps to protect the information that we process, regardless of where the systems that we use to process the information are located. We do this through physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that are designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Machine IQ information.  Bobcat Company intends to treat your information respectfully and lawfully.

Sharing information
Your Machine IQ information may be shared by Bobcat Company, affiliates, and dealers, but we disclose information only to those with a legitimate business reason to access it.  This includes third parties who process information on behalf of Bobcat Company, its affiliates, and dealers. 

Your consent
You may opt-out of sharing Machine IQ system data with Bobcat Company by contacting your dealer.

Your rights
You have the right to reasonable access to your personal information. To do so, you must provide satisfactory proof of identity and ownership of the equipment. Please contact your authorized Bobcat dealer for more information.
